The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has approved a budget of Rs 9,992 crore for financial year 2024-25. The budget amount has been doubled as compared to a budget of Rs 5,630 crore in the previous financial year
The authority aims to develop at least 10 new sectors, in close proximity to the upcoming Noida international airport for urban habitation. YEIDA's Board has decided to utilise the maximum share of the budget on land acquisition and development of new sector. The new sectors, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 4A, 5A, 28 and 29, are to be developed on priority basis
The process to acquire land for these new dedicated developmental zones started in 2023
YEIDA has also decided to increase the land allotment rate by 5.14 percent in all categories of land such as residential, commercial, institutional and mixed land use. The new rates for housing land for those who want to buy a plot is Rs 25,900 per sq. mtr. Similarly, new commercial land rates are in the range of Rs 51,800-62,200 per sq. mtr
